the Tuftees

we left iowa and headed for chicago (the only other time i've been there was when i was 7 and the family drove there to see the king tut exhibit-all i remember is the 2 hours wait to get in and the gift shop afterwards, how lame...)

we stayed w/kim's brother and his wife (they have two cats and one dog, hello allergies)! but they were all very sweet and fun to hang out with (we were there for two whole nights, which definitely made me feel more settled)

the first night, we didn't have a show so we checked out the rainy city and the lake from the 96th floor of the hancock building (indulging ourselves in overpriced cocktails) the next day, after laundry (thank god) we headed out for a radio interview before the show that night...

the show was kinda weird-the crowd was great but despite kim's encouragement, they couldn't really get much closer to us (the stage was higher than usual or something) so it felt awkward,like there was something invisible separating us from the crowd... but kim's brother, todd, projected his own visual art onstage behind the first band, that was cool (he's also responsible for the agsfb website, check it out @ www.agsfb.com)
