2003-09-04 - 12:51 p.m. Hi. I stole the following from my good friend Sean Brooks journal. It is his take on our recent show at Kelly's Olympian. I just think he is too kind, but all the same, when someone you fully respect as a man and as a musician has good thing to say about your craft, you accept it like a ray of sunshine in the midst of a 4 month winter rain season. Sort of. But not really. "The Tuftees went on last and opened with ‘No End No End,’ which to me sounds like an entirely Jack-a-fide version, thus making it less of a cover and more of a denouement. They rocked it well, they were tight and on top of-they-shit. They also covered a Celesteville song that almost sounded like a U2 reprise as well as kicking everyone’s ass with a Black Sabbath cover. The Tuftees were great and again, here is a band that keeps getting better every time I see them." Visit sean and his band Minmae at minmae.com Do it now. More soon, Jack
