2003-07-16 - 2:13 p.m. Home. We have made the tour official. We are now back home in Portland Oregon and have shaved, showered and are all set to solidify the end of the road with our Homecoming Show tonight at Berbati's Pan. It's a 5$ cover with fairly cheap drinks. It will also be home to the best sound we will ever have, so far. A few things about the tour. Besides it being a blast I learned a lot about the people which populate my life, specifically during these past two weeks. I am really happy to have them in my life and share music with. Aside from a few spots of slight aggrevation, we all got along really well. If only we could figure out how to not get homesick/girlsick we would be able to tour more. Well, that and being paid enough, as we seem to need these day jobs. But still, it was a lot of fun, specifically the shows themselves, which seemed to get better as the days rolled along. Even at the somewhat more exotic locales, we seemed to rise above and play a really good show. I am really happy to be a part of The Mouse That Roared and am happy to have been able to play some Tuftees gigs here and there too. Here's a picture of Mouse at an LA house show.
Hopefully we'll have some more tour pics soon, both here and at band/labels sites. Thanks everyone who came, saw, listened and bought anything. We seriously appreciate your generosity and support. Today the Tuftees gave the songwriter, Punk Cat Z, a much needed flea bath. The first of many this summer I am sure. He is now rolling in the dirt (doh!) but we managed to get a lot of those buggers dead. The next Tuftees show is listed above. Hope to see you there. Our future plans are to continue playing shows around Portland and to go into the studio this summer and record our next record. I have been looking into alternative packaging and am really hoping to get the next CD in stores, on a lobel, reviewed more heavily and back on tour! Wish us luck! Jack
