the Tuftees

Last night we went out to get drunk and ended up at some bar near Brian's apt. The place has a huge elephant, a sort of lit up paper mache thing. The elephant is pointing a gun. It is oddly very cool and very scary and uncool. We drank and talked about music and integrity and growth and openess and music, etc. It was a really fun evening. Brian and his girlfriend Grace and Steve and went back fairly early (I think steve still had a bad headache from earlier) and the rest of us just kept the liquor flowing and the talk flowing and it was a really splendid time. I missed Steve not being there, but i know the pain of a lingering headache and would have been home too.

I liked what Sean had to say about growning musically and how to pussh yourself.We alsotalked candidly about friends, which was really open and good. What is happening is we are all being quite candid and sincere and we listening to each other. Its been really super getting closer to these guys. Josh is perhaps one of my favourite people to be around. Last night when we were discussing our heritage, he said he was polish, and that was what sinched it for me, because it told me who he reminded me of: a friend from college, except Josh holds all the good qualities which Mike lacked. Calvert as well has been one of the funniest mo-fos to be around. From his facial expressions to his basic calvert demeanour, just a great guy to have around. Hopefully Steve's headache will be gone today and we'll all have a good day.

Plan on rocking the Mouse set tonight. Casey & I have been going over the songs a little this morning, I know Steve will just call out the songs as we go, so we want to be ready to play them all.

And then off to San Diego.
