2003-07-04 - 12:38 p.m. So I got the house fully prepared for my departure for tour this evening. I also gave the punk cat Z, my faithful songwriter, a flea bath. He wasn't too happy while the water was flowing, but once those creepy creatures were dying and the itching faded, he seemed genuinely happy about the whole ordeal. Me too! I practiced some songs I'd like to do for the acoutic set at The Sleepyhouse on sunday, and found a part of my voice I haven't yet reached. I am really hoping to be able to find it at will. I felt real confident and sang loudly. I know confidence has been a source of pain for me when it comes to my singing, but last night I felt like I brokethrough myself and found a deeper place. We'll see if I can contunie to muster that place within. I couldn't fall asleep due to my being overexcited for the tour, and then I woke up at 5:40 am with a horredous headache. My left side was throbbing in pain and I could barely see. Not a good time for a migraine, but I think the stress of travel, and everything else, just caught up with me. I'd rather it happen now than while I am on the road. My allergies have been hampering my happiness more lately too. Oh California, home of allergents! I also went over the Mouse songbook and am feeling better about that too, by the time we have our homecoming show at Berbati's Pan we are going to be rollin'. See you then! Jack
